Sage Construction Management configuration
Below are settings in Sage Construction Management that can impact how data is synced between the two systems.
To avoid discrepancies between the two systems, you can configure Sage Construction Management to lock transactions automatically after they’ve been exported to QuickBooks Online.
To enable this setting, go to Settings > Company Settings > Global Settings > Transaction Locking and configure Sage Construction Management to lock exported transactions automatically.
To add bill types in Sage Construction Management, go to Settings > Feature Settings > Procurement.
After bill types have been configured, set the corresponding export rules in the Sync Preferences section of AccountingLink to control how each bill type is handled during export to QuickBooks Online.
If labor timecards are being exported to QuickBooks Online, it's essential that payroll items are properly matched and linked between both systems.
To add payroll items in Sage Construction Management, go to Settings > Feature Settings > Time & Expenses.
To link payroll items in AccountingLink, go to the Sync Preferences and configure the appropriate mappings.
You can either import sales tax codes in Sage Construction Management from QuickBooks Online or add them manually. Rates for each cost code must be consistent across both systems; otherwise, discrepancies might occur in the total amount when transactions are exported from Sage Construction Management to QuickBooks Online.
To add tax codes in Sage Construction Management, go to Settings > Feature Settings > Taxation.
To link tax codes in AccountingLink, go to the Sync Preferences and configure the appropriate mappings.
The AccountingLink for QuickBooks Online currently does not support QuickBooks Online's Auto-Calculate Sales Tax feature. As a result, you must remove the default tax code from Sage Construction Management's job cost code (JCC) listing and related summary tables in prime and sub invoices to avoid export errors.
Project cost codes or internal division codes in Sage Construction Management must match the service items in QuickBooks Online.
