Manually link employees

If an employee was entered in both systems and the names have a slightly different spelling, then these employee records will need to be linked manually. For example, John M. Smith and John Smith.

This is an alternative method to auto linking, where names do match.

When you manually link employees, the employee ID in Sage Construction Management will be updated, but address or phone information will not be synchronized or updated.

  1. Go to Accounting Link and select Contact Management > Manually Link Employees.
  2. In the Sage CM Employee field, enter at least 3 characters of the Sage Construction Management employee name.

    The dropdown will automatically provide suggestions based on the text entered.

  3. Select the Sage Construction Management employee that needs to be manually linked.
  4. Likewise, enter 3 characters in the Sage 100 Contractor Employee field and select the corresponding Sage 100 Contractor employee in the dropdown.
  5. Select Link Employee.
