AccountingLink for Sage 50 Canada Upgrade Instructions

Upgrade Sage 50 Canada

  1. Make sure Sage 50 Canada and AccountingLink applications are closed.
  2. Upgrade Sage 50 Canada and make note of the year and patch release.
  3. Reboot computer.
  4. Open Sage 50 Canada.
  5. Upgrade Company file/database.
  6. Make a note of the location of the Sage 50 data file (e.g. full patch and file name). This is required for the AccountingLink to establish a connection.
  7. Close Sage 50 Canada.

Uninstall Existing AccountingLink for Sage 50 Canada

  1. Click Windows 10 Start Icon | Control Panel | Programs and Features
  2. Select AccountingLink for Sage 50 Canada
  3. Click Uninstall

Download New AccountingLink for Sage 50 Canada (version must match Sage 50 Canada)


Update Existing AccountingLink for Sage 50 Canada Connection

  1. Open the AccountingLink for Sage 50 Canada utility (Start | All Programs | Sage Construction Management | AccountingLink For Sage 50 Canada).
  2. Enter the login information for Sage Construction Management (i.e., Company ID, User Name, and Password).
    Important: The User accessing the AccountingLink must be assigned either the Administrator or Financial Admin security role in Sage Construction Management and have a password with a ten-character maximum length.
  3. Select the EXISTING CONNECTION.
  4. Click Connect.
  5. Click Sync Preferences.
  6. Update the Sage 50 Canada file/database information.
  7. Click the 'Save' button at the bottom of the Sync Preferences form.
