Error when exporting prime invoice to Sage 50

Review the following steps if you receive and error when exporting a prime invoice to Sage 50—Canadian Edition using AccountingLink.

Review the tax code references

1. In Sage Construction Management, open the prime invoice.
2. In the Net retainage summary section, select View details.

3. In the Retainage summary by job cost code section, make sure the correct tax codes are entered for each job cost code.

   Tax codes are set in the prime invoice based on the default tax code referenced in the Job Cost Code table. See Contract Admin module > Job Cost Codes listing.

4. Save any changes.

Relink the customer

Relink the Sage Construction Management client referenced on the prime contract with the Sage 50 customer.

1. Open AccountingLink.
2. Expand the Advanced Utilities section.
3. Click Manually link company.
4. Relink the company with the Sage 50 customer.

Relink the prime contract with the job

Relink the Sage Construction Management prime contract with the customer:job in Sage 50.

1. Open AccountingLink.
2. Expand the Advanced Utilities section.
3. Click Manually link project.
4. Relink the project prime contract number with the customer:job in Sage 50.

Run the Sync Wizard

Try to export the prime invoice again to see if the issue is resolved.

1. Open AccountingLink.
2. Go to the Sync tab and select Sync.
3. Export the invoice.

If you still get an error, continue to the next section.

Review Sync preferences

Make sure that your Sync preferences are set up correctly.

1. Open AccountingLink.
2. Select Sync preferences.
3. Go to the AP section.
4. Review how the job cost codes referenced on the prime invoice correlate to Sage 50 service items based on the JCC linking property.
5. Review the prime invoice retainage properties if retainage is tracked in Sage 50.
6. Make sure the Sage Construction Management and Sage 50 tax codes are linked one-to-one.
7. Save any changes.

Export the prime invoice again to see if the issue is resolved.
