Rounding settings

Unit price fields on estimate line items and project financial transactions can support up to four decimal places. When Sage Construction Management calculates subtotals, tax, and totals, rounding follows the Estimate rounding and Transaction rounding settings. Typically, both settings use two decimal places.

If you use AccountingLink with Sage 100 Contractor or Sage 300 Construction and Real Estate, set both rounding options to two decimal places to prevent posting errors.

Sage Construction Management uses banker’s rounding, which follows the IEEE 754 standard and rounds to the nearest even number. Most major accounting engines use the same method.
