The currency specified in this field will be the default when adding a lead or project, but can be changed after the record has been saved.
-
Fiscal Year Start
Sage Construction Management provides fiscal year dashboards for project financials. This setting will affect how transactions are filtered to show current and previous year results.
-
Transaction Locking
- No locking: Transaction modifications allowed at any time.
- Lock Transactions: Specify locks at transaction level. Administrators can unlock.
The lock status is available on the forms and anyone can lock a transaction. If a transaction is locked, only administrators can unlock the transaction.
- Lock Exported Transactions: Auto-lock exported transactions.
Applicable only when using AccountingLink products.
If a transaction is exported or marked as exported, then this utility will automatically lock the exported transaction. Administrators can temporarily unlock transactions to make changes, but they're automatically locked again after the administrator closes the transaction form.
If workflow is turned on and transaction workflow is in progress or completed, then the transaction is locked and cannot be modified unless workflow is abandoned. This is regardless of the locking settings. This is because workflow is considered stricter than any lock settings. Please note that Transaction Locking and Workflow settings should be set once and not changed as it can cause confusion for the end user. This is also applicable to changing the type of workflow being used.
Rounding settings
Unit price fields on estimate line items and project financial transactions can be set to support up to four (4) decimal places. However, when the system calculates subtotal, tax, and total, rounding will based on the Estimate Rounding and Transaction Rounding settings. Typically, both settings are set to two (2) decimal places.
Sage Construction Management uses the banker's rounding method, which follows the IEEE 754 standard and rounds to the nearest even number. This algorithm is also used by most major accounting engines.
