Scope Templates

A Scope Template is essentially boiler plate text that can be inserted into the following features.

  • Estimate Cost Code Scope
  • Estimate Overall Scope
  • Estimate or Procurement RFP Package
  • Prime Contract
  • Subcontract

Each scope template could be defined for a particular segment of work such as foundations, framing, drywall, and electrical which can include text for Inclusions, Exclusions and Clarifications. Having Templates setup will save time, improve consistency when communicating requirements and will ultimately reduce risk.

Data Entry Steps

  1. Log in to Sage Construction Management as an Admin.
  2. Click Settings (Gear Icon).
  3. Click Templates and Reports | Scope Templates.
  4. Click the 'Add' button to view the details form.
  5. Enter a Code (eg. Conc) and Description (eg. Concrete). Both are required.
  6. Enter any text in the Inclusions, Exclusions, or Clarifications field. Each field allows unlimited text.
  7. Click the 'Save' button
