Sage Construction Management integration with Sage Estimating
You can export estimates directly from Sage Estimating (SQL) to a lead in Sage Construction Management, where you can work with the estimate without having to reenter or import the information.

You must have administrator permissions in Sage Construction Management.

Sage Estimating sends estimates to a target lead in Sage Construction Management, which must already exist.
Configure developer mode in Sage Construction Management

Log in to Sage Construction Management as an Administrator.

Go to Settings (
) > Developer Mode. -
If developer mode is not enabled, do the following:

Select Yes next to the Do you wish to use developer mode? option.

Select Save.

In the My Account Information section, copy the following values and paste them into a text document:

Account Key
-
Integration Key/Client Id
-
-
In the Api Key(s) tab, select Add New Apps & Keys.

In the App Name field, enter Sage Estimating.
-
In the Select Features section, select the following features:
-
Leads
-
Projects
-
Estimates
-
Job Cost Codes
-
-
In the Authentication section, select Client Credentials for the Type and copy the secret key.
Do not select Save or leave this page until you’ve copied and securely stored this number. The secret key is displayed only once and cannot be retrieved later. Ensure it's saved for all users who will need access. -
In the Scopes section, select the Add, Edit, and Read checkboxes.

In the Additional settings section, enter Sage in the State field.

Select Save.
Configure a standard database integration in Sage Estimating

In the Estimating Management Console, select the Standard Databases tab.

In the Standard Database Catalog pane, select the standard database that you want to integrate with Sage Construction Management.

In the Job Cost Information section, select Sage Construction Management as the job cost interface .

Select Setup to open the Sage Construction Management sign in dialog.

In the dialog, do the following:

Enter the Account Id, Integration Key, and Client Secret key.

Select Save sign-in information to avoid re-entering your credentials when connecting to Sage Construction Management.

Select Sign in.
Sage Construction Management cost types are preselected for each Labor, Material, Subcontractor, Equipment, and Other category. Before exporting estimates, you must map these cost types to each item in your estimates. -

In the Sage Construction Management Integration dialog, do the following:

To add Sage Construction Management cost type information automatically to existing items in your standard database, select the Add cost types to items checkbox.
This step only needs to be completed once for each standard database you integrate. Completing this step can save time later by simplifying the process of matching items to Sage Construction Management cost types in your standard database.

Select OK.

If you’re integrating an estimate rather than a standard database, do the following:

Select Browse for the job number.
-
Select the lead to which you’ll send the estimate.

Select OK.
-

Select Save.
