Manually Add a Change Order
A wizard guides you through adding a change order (CO). After adding the header information, you can upload files and link them to the CO.
Add the Header Information
- Click the Projects icon on the left menu.
- Select the Project in the Quick Select section. This will then refresh the page and show the Current Project Home page.
- On the Project menu, under Client Contract Admin, select Client Contract Admin Overview.
- Navigate to the CO row in the Stats section.
- Click the Actions button on the far right.
- Click Add Manually option from the drop-down menu.
- In the data entry form, the Project # should be selected already but can be changed.
- Select the Approved Prime Contract.
- General CO Information Section:
Required Fields:- Issue Date
- CO Order #
- CO #
- Subject
- Status (If Workflow is turned on and a Rule potentially applies then Status will be disabled otherwise it is enabled.)
- Status Date
- Client Company Information Section:
Required Fields:- Company (Field is disabled and will show client referenced on Prime Contract.)
- Address Type
- Contact
- Prime Contractor Company Information Section:
Required Fields:- Company (Field is disabled and will show contractor referenced on Prime Contract.)
- Address Type
- Contact
- Enter the Proposed Work Scope.
- Optional: Enter or select References for Drawing #, Location, RFI #, or Specification Section.
- Optional: Select if there is a Schedule Impact (ex. checkbox and work days).
- Click the Next button.
Link Files to the CO
Files such as images or PDFs that pertain to the CO can be uploaded and linked to the change record.
- Select one or more files on your local hard drive and drag to the Drop files here seciton.
- Click the Finish button.
Next steps
Review or complete the following tasks after adding the change order.
- Enter Change Work Scope
- Add/Import Proposed Items
- Initiate Workflow if Workflow is enabled and a Rule applies. This would be done after Proposed Items have been documented.
- Review Status and Status Date
