Add weather and site conditions to a daily log
Tracking weather and site conditions throughout the project is essential. For example, extended periods of unusual weather can cause delays and lead to a change order (CO) request to cover added costs such as trailers, management time, and utilities. Quickly generating a summary log of weather and site conditions can support CO approval.
The WorldWeatherOnline API© provides weather and site condition data for the daily log.
- Go to Projects and select the appropriate project in the Quick Select section.
- On the Project Home page, select Daily Logs in the Documentation section.
- On the Daily Logs page, select the appropriate date from the list.
- In the Weather and Site Conditions section, select Add / Import Items > Add Manually.
- In the Weather and Site Conditions Details section, do the following:
- Optionally, update the Time as needed.
The default value is the current time.
- Optionally, update the temperature as needed.
The default value is based on the weather forecast for the project’s location. The country specified in the project address determines whether Fahrenheit or Celsius is used.
- Optionally, select the Weather Conditions from the dropdown.
- Optionally, update the wind speed and direction in the Wind Conditions field.
For example, 23 mph NW. The default value is based on the weather forecast for the project’s location.
- Optionally, select the Site Conditions from the dropdown.
- Optionally, update the Time as needed.
- Select Add & Close.
