Add a drawing manually

To add a drawing manually, select a drawing set or discipline, upload files, and complete drawing details for a lead or project.

  1. Go to Projects or Leads and select the lead or project from the list.
  2. On the Lead or Project Home page, select Drawings in the Lead or Project menu or favorites.
  3. Select Actions > Add Manually.
  4. Optionally, update the Lead or Project #, as needed.

    The lead or project number is automatically populated based on the selected lead or project.

  5. Optionally, for projects, select the Prime Contract.

    If a project has multiple structures or lots with multiple plan sets, select the prime contract.
  6. Select a drawing set:

    1. Select New Drawing Set, select a date, and enter a Drawing Set Name.

    2. Select Existing Drawing Set and select an available drawing set from the dropdown.

  7. Drag and drop the files into the designated area.

    Accepted file types include, but are not limited to, the following:

    • PDF (preferred)

    • TIFF

    • DWG

    • DXF

    You can select or drag and drop up to 48 files at a time. To add more, repeat the process. All selected files are uploaded together, and the total size must not exceed 500 MB.

  8. Select Next.
  9. Optionally, edit the drawing number, title, or release date.
  10. Optionally, select a drawing Discipline for each record.

    You can modify the disciplines list in Settings () > Feature Settings > Drawings.

  11. If the file is a multi‑page PDF, select Burst to create a separate drawing record for each page.

  12. Select Create.
