Add adjustments to estimates
Estimate adjustments are lumpsum amounts that can be added to or subtracted from an estimate and are typically applied at the final stage of the estimating process. Similar to distributed (hidden) global markups, estimate adjustments are spread proportionally across cost code sections and are not shown as separate line items on the estimate proposal.
These lumpsum adjustments affect the proposal and sell price only and do not impact cost.
- Go to Leads or Projects and select the lead or project in the Quick Select section.
- On the Lead or Project Home page, select Estimates in the Preconstruction section.
- Select the estimate number or title from the list.
- Select View Estimate.
- Within the estimate, select the Global Markups tab.
- In the Adjustments (Adds & Cuts) section, select Add.
- Enter the reason in the Adjustment Comment field.
- Enter the adjustment amount for each resource.
Values can be either positive or negative.
- Select Save.
Adjustments are not distributed across cost codes and items until the estimate is calculated, which occurs when you select the Cost Code Summary/Export or Estimate Summary/Reports tabs.
