Sharing files with outside team members

Use the TeamLink Portal to share files with team members outside of your company.

The example provided below is from a general contractor (GC) perspective. It cov ers using the Request for Information (RFI) feature in-conjunction with the TeamLink Portal to share uploaded files. This example could also apply to Change Proposal Requests (CPR), Comply Notices, Journals, RFP Packages, Submittals, and Transmittals.

1. GC creates an RFI within Sage Construction Management and uploads additional files (eg. drawings, photographs) within the form. These uploaded files are now linked to the Project and RFI record.
2. Show In Portal attribute needs to be checked for any file that will be shared via the TeamLink Portal.
3. The architect is marked as the respondent for the RFI.
4. An email from within Sage Construction Management is sent to the respondent.
5. The architect clicks on the auto-generated hyperlink shown within the email. This opens the GC's TeamLink Portal and show the RFI record.
6. The architect then comments on the RFI within the form and also uploads any additional files that pertain to their response. These additional files are now stored in Sage Construction Management and are also linked to the Project and RFI like the original files.
7. The GC then reviews the RFI response within Sage Construction Management including all uploaded files.
