Import Anticipated Costs From Excel
- To set the method of documenting Anticipated Costs go to Settings > Feature Settings > Procurement.
- When you import anticipated costs from Microsoft Excel, the method of documentation specified in Settings is used. For example, if Summary by Job Cost Code (JCC) is selected in Settings, the Excel items are summarized by cost code.
Prepare The Excel Import File
- Open a blank Microsoft Excel Spreadsheet or download the sample file referenced below.
- The first row (column names) should be labeled as shown in the table. Be sure to include the required fields. Field names do not contain any spacing within the word or before and after.
- Insert data starting at Row 2.
- Make sure the sheet name that contains the data is labeled Sheet1.
- Save the file in Excel 97-2003 format (*.xls).
- Close the file otherwise Sage Construction Management can not import the data.
Import the File
- Go to Projects.
- Select a project.
- On the Project menu, select Procurement overview.
- In the Procurement Stats section, in the Anticipated Costs row, click the Action button, and select Import from Excel.
- Click Choose file and select the file.
The data will be imported automatically.
