Add a comply notice
Step 1: Enter the general information
- Go to Projects and select the appropriate project in the Quick Select section.
- On the Project Home page, select Comply Notices under the QC and Safety section.
- Select Actions > Add Manually.
- Optionally, update the Project number as needed.
- Optionally, update the Issue Date.
The default value is today's date.
- Optionally, update the Comply Notice #.
Sage Construction Management automatically generates the comply notice number, but it can be modified.
- Optionally, select the comply notice Type.
- Enter a Subject.
- Optionally, select the response Due Date.
This date will be marked on the QC and Safety Calendar and on the Sage Construction Management Home page Alerts tab.
- Select the From and To company and, optionally, the contact.
In most cases, your firm appears as the From company, while the To company is the contractor responsible for compliance. The company dropdown is populated from the project directory.
- Specify the Address Type for both companies.
- Optionally, enter the comply notice Description.
- Optionally, enter or select the following references as needed:
- Prime Contract #
- CPR / CO #
- Subcontract #
- SCO #
- Drawing
- Location
- Spec. Section
- Other
- Select Next.
Step 2: Add or link files
You can upload and link files, such as images or PDF documents, that are relevant to the comply notice.

If you do not prefer to add or upload files in this step, select Skip and Finish.

To add or upload files, do the following:
- Select one or more files on your local hard drive and drag them to the Drag files here section.
Alternatively, select Add to find and upload files from your local drive.
- To link existing files that have already been uploaded to Sage Construction Management, do the following:
- Select Link Existing Files and select one of the following options:
- Drawings & Specs
- Photos
- All Other Records
If applicable, use the Feature Name dropdown in the dialog to filter the results.
If All Other Records is selected, the dropdown lists only features with existing linked files.- Select one or more files from the list.
- Select Link & Close.
These files will be added automatically to the record and will not be shown in the Drag Local Files section.
You can only link existing files that were uploaded to records within the same project or lead.
- Select Link Existing Files and select one of the following options:
- Select Add and Finish.
- Select one or more files on your local hard drive and drag them to the Drag files here section.
