Show bookmarks in Microsoft Word

Microsoft Word 2007 and later versions

  1. Open the template in Microsoft Word.
  2. Select File > Options > Advanced on the Microsoft Word ribbon.
  3. In the Show document content section, select Show bookmarks.

    Select OK.

If you add a bookmark to a block of text, an image, or any other item, the bookmark will display in brackets. If no specific content is selected when you add the bookmark, it will be indicated by an I-beam.

Microsoft Word 2003

  1. Open the template in Microsoft Word.
  2. Select Tools > Options.
  3. Go to the View tab and select the Bookmarks option.
  4. Select OK.
