Early validation of required cost code names and descriptions when posting projects to Sage Intacct

Validation for cost code names and descriptions is now required when posting projects to Sage Intacct.

Details

When posting projects, estimates, and contracts from Sage Construction Management to Sage Intacct, Sage Intacct requires a name and description for project cost codes and standard cost codes.

Previously, missing cost code information might not be identified until the posting a prime contract posting, causing the posting process to fail and requiring users to correct the issue and repost.

How it works

Sage Construction Management now validates cost code information earlier in the posting process.

  1. Go to Accounting Link and select Posting > Batch Post Wizard.
  2. Select Projects from the Jump to dropdown.

  3. Select Post next to the required project.

When a project is posted, the system checks matching standard cost codes in Sage Intacct and verifies that the required name and description are populated. If any cost codes are missing this information, the posting stops and an error message listing the affected cost codes displays, allowing you to resolve issues before posting.
