Collaborate with subcontractors and suppliers on project leads using the TeamLink Portal

TeamLink security roles apply to projects only, not leads. In order to collaborate with subcontractors or suppliers on leads, it's recommended to use the authentication method 1.

Common lead features that require subcontractor or supplier input

  • Invitation to bid (ITB).
  • Estimate RFP packages.
  • Journals, such as emails.

Common lead features that require client or architect input

  • Journals, such as emails.

Example: Authentication method 1 process for an invitation to bid (ITB)

  1. Add drawings and specifications to the lead.
  2. Link drawings and specifications to the ITB.
  3. Add the subcontractor to the ITB directory.
  4. Send the ITB email to the subcontractor.
  5. The subcontractor receives the email with the auto-generated hyperlink to the TeamLink portal.

    The hyperlink is encoded to provide access only to that particular ITB.

  6. The subcontractor selects the hyperlink within the email.
  7. The subcontractor reviews the drawings and specifications, and responds whether they are interested in bidding or not.
  8. Sage Construction Management sends an email alert notifying the general contractor (GC) that the s Subcontractor responded in the portal.
  9. In Sage Construction Management, the GC reviews the ITB response.

Do Project Leads appear in the portal if Authentication Method 2 is being used by the subcontractor or supplier?

Yes. Project leads will appear in the TeamLink Portal under the Bid Opportunities section if the following conditions are met:

  • The Show In Portal option in the lead is checked.
  • The subcontractor or supplier is referenced in the ITB directory, Estimate RFP package, or journal.
