Add major equipment to a daily log
Major equipment, such as bobcats and cranes, is recorded daily. The company reference identifies the firm that owns or has rented the equipment.
Open the daily log details
- Go to Projects and select the appropriate project in the Quick Select section.
- On the Project Home page, select Daily Logs in the Documentation section.
- On the Daily Logs page, select the appropriate date from the list.
Add major equipment manually
- In the Major Equipment (All Trades - Owned or Rented) section, select Add / Import Items > Add Manually.
- Select the Company from the dropdown.
Typically, this is either your firm or a subcontractor.
- Enter the Equipment Description.
For example, Bobcat, Backhoe, or Dump Truck.
- Enter the equipment Quantity.

Enter the average run time hours per equipment in the RT Hours field.
The Total RT Hours equal the quantity multiplied by the run time hours.
- Select Add & Close.
Import major equipment

In the Major Equipment (All Trades - Owned or Rented) section, select Add / Import Items.

Select one of the following options:
Import firms and equipment that were referenced in the last 2 weeks- Select Import Firms and Equipment Referenced Last 2 Weeks.
- Optionally, use the Search field to filter the list.
- Select one or more companies from the list.
- For each selected company, enter the equipment Quantity field and the average run time hours per piece of equipment in the Run Time Hrs field.
The total run time hours equal the quantity multiplied by the run time hours.
- Select Add & Close.
Import equipment timecard summary for the selected day and prime contractEquipment timecards are grouped and totaled by equipment code, using the daily log date as the filter.

Select Import Equipment Timecards for Day and Prime.

Optionally, use the Search field to filter the list.
- Select one or more equipment codes from the list.
The RT Hours and Total RT Hours for each equipment code is set to the sum of all equipment timecard run time hours.
- Select Add & Close.
Import equipment items from the cost databaseIf equipment items already exist in the cost database, you can import them rather than entering them manually.
- Select Import Equipment Items from Cost Database.
- Optionally, use the Search field to filter the list.
- Select one or more equipment items from the list.
- For each selected item, enter the Quantity and the average run time hours per piece of equipment in the Hrs. Per Day field.
The total hours equal the quantity multiplied by the equipment run time hours.
- Select the Equipment Company from the dropdown.
- Select Add & Close.
