Add workforce to a daily log
The Workforce section displays all labor resources, including subcontractors and consultants, who worked on the project that day. As with equipment entries, each workforce record must include the company, number of workers, and work hours.
Open the daily log details
- Go to Projects and select the appropriate project in the Quick Select section.
- On the Project Home page, select Daily Logs in the Documentation section.
- On the Daily Logs page, select the appropriate date from the list.
Add workforce manually
- In the Workforce (All Trades) section, select Add / Import Items > Add Manually.
- Select the Company from the dropdown.
Typically, this is either your firm or a subcontractor.
- Optionally, select the magnifying glass icon (
) next to the Labor Type / Code field and select the appropriate labor type in the dialog.The labor type codes and descriptions in the dialog are populated from the labor items in the cost database.
- Enter the number of workers for the selected company, labor type, and day in the Quantity field.
- Enter the work Hours per worker.
The Total Hours equal the quantity multiplied by the work hours.
- Optionally, enter any Comments.
- Select Add & Close.
Add workforce from the project directory
- In the Workforce (All Trades) section, select Add / Import Items > Add Workforce Using Project Directory.
- Optionally, use the Search field to filter the list.
- Select one or more companies from the list.
- For each selected company, enter the number of workers in the Quantity field and the average work Hours per worker.
The total hours equal the quantity multiplied by the work hours.
- Select Add & Close.
Import workforce

In the Workforce (All Trades) section, select Add / Import Items.

Select one of the following options:
Import firms that were referenced in the last 2 weeks-
Select Import Firms Referenced Last 2 Weeks.

Optionally, use the Search field to filter the list.
- Select one or more companies from the list.
- For each selected company, enter the number of workers in the Quantity field and the average work Hours per worker.
The total hours equal the quantity multiplied by the work hours.
- Select Add & Close.
Import labor timecard summary for the selected day and prime contractLabor timecards are grouped and totaled by company and labor code, using the daily log date as the filter.

Select Import Labor Timecard Summary for Day and Prime.

Optionally, use the Search field to filter the list.
- Select one or more companies or labor codes from the list.
The quantity is set to the number of employees referenced on the labor timecards per labor code. The hours are set to the total labor timecard hours divided by employee count. The total hours are the sum of all labor timecard hours.
- Select Add & Close.
Import labor items from the cost databaseIf labor items already exist in the cost database, you can import them rather than entering them manually.

Select Import Labor Items from Cost Database.

Optionally, use the Search field to filter the list.
- Select one or more codes from the list.
- For each selected code, enter the number of workers in the Quantity field and the average work hours per worker in the Hrs field.
The total hours equal the quantity multiplied by the work hours.

Select the Workforce Company from the dropdown.
- Select Add & Close.
