TeamLink Portal Authentication Method 1 Overview
Many Sage Construction Management features include an email option that can be used in lieu of printing a document and sending it via mail carrier. For example, GCs will often send an Invitation to Bid to their subs/suppliers notifying them of an upcoming job opportunity. In this scenario, the GC needs to share drawings and specifications with vendors and request feedback if they are interested in bidding. Another example would be a subcontractor or GC sending out an RFI or Submittal to an architect to get their response.
The email that is generated from Sage Construction Management will contain an auto-generated hyperlink to access the portal and that particular lead or project record (i.e. RFP Package 001, RFI 003, Submittal 006 etc.) and no other. Contacts that are cc'd on the email will also get a hyperlink but information shown in the portal will be read only.

Pros and Cons of Authentication Method 1
Pros:
- Very easy to implement
- Once logged into the portal the project record (e.g. RFI# 003, Submittal # 006) will immediately be shown. Thus, no navigation is required.
Cons:
- Cannot view other project information that is associated with the outside firm once logged into the portal.
