Get started wizard
Use this wizard to complete the minimum required setup and begin using Sage Construction Management.
Address, phone, and fax information appear automatically and is based on the submitted order form. If the account name is incorrect, send an email to SageCMsupport@sage.com to request a name change.
Fiscal year start
Sage Construction Management provides fiscal year dashboards in Project Analytics. This setting controls how transactions are filtered to show current and prior year results.
Round transactions
Sage Construction Management uses Microsoft SQL Server as its database engine. Currency fields store values to four decimal places. This setting controls how subtotals, tax, and totals are rounded. Typically, this is set to two decimal places.
Current accounting system
To use a AccountingLink utility, you must specify the corresponding accounting system.
- Intuit QuickBooks (Intuit QuickBooks Pro, Premier, or Enterprise)
- Intuit QuickBooks Online (Intuit QuickBooks Online Plus Edition)
- Sage 100 Contractor
- Sage 300 Construction and Real Estate
- Sage Intacct
- Sage Simply Accounting (Sage 50 Canada)
- Xero (all countries)

The uploaded company logo automatically appears on detail and log reports. For logo specifications, select Uploading a corporate logo.
You can import employees from Microsoft Excel or an accounting system using a AccountingLink utility. You can also enter employees manually if users must be set up immediately.
Data entry steps
- Go to the new row highlighted in yellow.
- Enter the first name and family name. The display name is set automatically but can be changed.
- Optionally, enter the mobile phone number.
- Optional but recommended: Enter the email address.
- Select the Enter key to move the employee out of the highlighted row.
- Repeat these steps for additional employees.
- Select Save and Next.
Employees entered in step 5 can be set up as users in this step.
Data entry steps
- Review the available license information shown above the grid. If licenses are available, continue.
- Go to the employee you want to set up as a user.
- Double select the Role cell and select a security role.
- Repeat these steps for additional users.
- Select Send Email.
