Send general messages to vendors through an invitation to bid

When updates such as drawing addendums or general announcements are needed, you can send a message to all vendors included in the invitation to bid (ITB).

  1. Go to Leads or Projects and select the lead or project in the Quick Select section.
  2. On the Lead or Project Home page, select Invitation To Bid (ITB) in the Preconstruction section.
  3. Select the General Messages tab.
  4. Select Add.
  5. Optionally, select to Exclude vendors that are not bidding from notifications.
  6. Enter your message, such as the addendum information, in the Comments field.
  7. Select Save & Notify to send the email notification.

    After a general message is sent, it cannot be modified. Any updates or corrections must be communicated by sending a new general message.

General messages that have been sent appear in the General Messages tab. They’re also listed in the Sent Emails section on the ITB Vendor Details page.
