Send general messages to vendors through an invitation to bid
When updates such as drawing addendums or general announcements are needed, you can send a message to all vendors included in the invitation to bid (ITB).
- Go to Leads or Projects and select the lead or project in the Quick Select section.
- On the Lead or Project Home page, select Invitation To Bid (ITB) in the Preconstruction section.
- Select the General Messages tab.
- Select Add.
- Optionally, select to Exclude vendors that are not bidding from notifications.
- Enter your message, such as the addendum information, in the Comments field.
- Select Save & Notify to send the email notification.
After a general message is sent, it cannot be modified. Any updates or corrections must be communicated by sending a new general message.
General messages that have been sent appear in the General Messages tab. They’re also listed in the Sent Emails section on the ITB Vendor Details page.
