Test and inspections overview
Project specifications typically define the tests and inspections required for a project. Common examples include soil and concrete testing. From a risk management perspective, documenting this information is a critical component of effective project management procedures.
To support this process, the Test and Inspection feature enables detailed tracking, including the company and contact responsible for preparing the sample, the time required, and the test location. For tests that require independent verification, the feature also captures the testing laboratory, results, and any associated comments.
-
Test and inspection header information can be entered at the start of the project in accordance with the specifications. Sample and test details can then be added as they occur.
-
Optionally, you can select companies and contacts from the project directory when completing the sample and test details. For example, the person that prepared the sample and the testing agency.
- Specify test and inspection types, which can also be used for grouping and filtering.
