Issues overview

Even when a project is running smoothly, issues can arise unexpectedly. In such cases, thorough documentation and clear correspondence are essential for minimizing risks and maintaining effective management. While some project issues can be minor and quickly resolved, others can be critical and lead to changes.

Having a system to track events chronologically, from the initial occurrence to the final resolution, is critical. Equally important is the ability to link related information, which enables a comprehensive and accurate assessment of the issue and its progression over time. The Issues feature is designed to support this function and is frequently used as supporting documentation when presenting change proposal requests (CPR) or change orders (CO).

Before you begin

  1. Make sure all the companies that will be referenced in the issue, including the coordinated by and companies involved, are in the project directory.
  2. Optionally, review the list of issue types in Settings > Feature Settings > Correspondence.
