Transmittals overview
A Transmittal is a formal communication document sent from one party to another to convey actions related to an item or a group of items. In the architectural, engineering, and construction (AEC) industry, transmittals are commonly used when sharing drawings, submittals, change notices, or progress invoices.
In Sage Construction Management, you can streamline this process using dedicated wizards to create transmittals for groups of submittals or drawings. Additionally, the transmittal feature includes an optional Due Date, which will automatically appear in the Correspondence Calendar for easy tracking.
Before you begin
- Optionally, review the transmittal type, transmitted for, and transmittal sender options. These can be used for filtering or sorting records.
- Make sure that all the companies that will be referenced in the transmittal are in the project directory.
