Checklist overview

In a competitive construction market, contractors must manage budgets while meeting client expectations. Maintaining quality is essential and compromising it to stay on schedule is not acceptable. Completing work correctly the first time helps ensure customer satisfaction and keeps projects on track.

To ensure quality at every phase of construction, such as footings, framing, and electrical rough-in, companies need to implement structured systems. Relying solely on building inspectors is insufficient.

The Checklist feature provides a reliable method for maintaining quality control throughout the project lifecycle.

About checklists

  • If checklists are general and applicable across multiple projects, it's recommended to create a checklist template in Settings > Templates & Reports > Checklist Templates. These templates can then be used in a project eliminating duplicate data entry.
  • Responsible company, contact, and due date is per item and not the overall checklist.
  • External collaborators cannot view checklists or checklist items through the TeamLink Portal.
  • You can use the Choose Bulk Action option to update multiple items simultaneously as follows:
    • Update the section, if any.
    • Update the checked date.
    • Update the due date.
    • Update the responsible company and contact.
    • Reset the order number based on section and existing order number.
    • Delete the selected items.

Before you begin

  • Ensure that the company that will be responsible for reviewing the project checklist items is in the project directory.
